Services

Services rendered by KNRC are basically aimed at value addition to our students so as to enable them to stand the tough competition they face later in the wider world of careers and professions as well as life itself. Some of these include

  • Personality cum soft skill development training under well-known experts in the field; During 2018-19 & 2019-20, two days (12 hours) have been devoted for the purpose. In 2019-20, soft skill development sessions were handled by Sri Gopinath Balachandran and Smt. Vineetha Jayakumar—both of whom are well-known trainers.

  • A well-designed coaching programme for our students for cracking the highly competitive UGC-NET examination, have been conducted (after regular teaching hours) during the last three years. This will continue with added vigour. The training lasts for around 40 hours, and the faculty include those who have long years of experience in the field. Students are not charged for the training. Thanks to this initiative around a dozen students have passed the exam, some of them in the first year of their study at KNRC.

Orientation Course in Basic Mathematics and Quantitative Techniques

A good percentage of students admitted to the MA Economics Programme, do not have a sound understanding of Basic Mathematics and Quantitative techniques. Others possess the required knowledge in these fields. In order to bring all students to a common platform, the orientation programme is conducted at the induction stage itself. This is expected to enhance the confidence level of the first category of students.

This programme is conducted by the faculty members of K. N. Raj Centre, Dr. S Muraleedharan and Sri. N. C. Jacob.

Training in Data Analytics

From the academic year 2021-22, K.N Raj Centre will  provide faculty-monitored training in data mining and analytics. It will be a compulsory course with two credits. Such training will improve the student quality and equip them to meet the demands of future careers in fields such as business, banking and government services.
